The Big Chill

So, after having gorgeous weather last weekend, the middle of the week started to feel a little like October. We haven't stopped since. Rain, cold, yucky rain. It has found us just a little too soon. I am hoping to see sun for just a bit this next week, and a nice indian summer might be in order to end a tumultuous year.

Side note:

To the Winegar family, I am truely sorry for your loss, of a sister, mom, aunt and friend. I know Annabelle will be missed by you all.

Cowgirls, uh hum, for the day!

Wow, what the weather does here in the Northwest is really unbelievable! The weekend of the 16th of August it was so hot. I think we hit 105 degrees. Well, that particular weekend, we hit the Keizer Volcanos baseball game on Friday, then the Canby fair and rodeo on Saturday. Friday night cooled down quite nicely, but Saturday, what a miserable, dusty mess we tried to outlast, much to our disappointment, we couldn't. The girls called it a night. They just wanted to go, so after watching Howdy McGinn rope, we hauled er back to the durango and called er quits.

Bend, OR

The weather was beautiful, as were most of the veiws. Travis was in seventh heaven being back in his old stomping ground. Bend sure has grown over the last several years. Lots of cute shops and nice restaraunts. Wish we could have hung out another day or so, but we'll go back much sooner this next time.

Enchanted Forrest

We took a little family trip to Central Oregon this past weekend. To kick off the weekend we stopped at the Enchanted Forrest for the girls. Boy did we all have fun there! I don't think that it has changed a bit since we were kids, but it seemed brand new to me seeing it through Olivia and Gigi's eyes. It rained the whole time we were there, and I didn't even care. We had fun!!!

Oregon Garden

The last week of July the girls and I went to the Oregon Garden in Silverton with The Burge family. It was very pretty, but with the title, I was a little let down. I was expecting spectacular! I think that they have had a little trouble from the beginning. It was a great idea, with less imagination to follow. But it was a nice outing for the day, and somewhat close. Kelly, Katherine and I went to a concert there later that week. It was really fun, and being outside for it was even better.
